Flowers are one of the most important accessories in the dress of any bride, and express much more than we imagine. Its history goes back to ancient Egypt, when brides used branches of aromatic herbs such as mint, rosemary or laurel to protect themselves from evil spirits. In the middle ages, the herbs were replaced by orange blossoms, so that the bride disguised the bad smell (weddings usually celebrated in June and May took the first bath after winter) and gave off a fresh fragrance.
